News and Discussions about Reddit

Welcome to !reddit. This is a community for all news and discussions about Reddit.

The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules

Rule 1- No brigading.

**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **

YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.

Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.

**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

:::spoiler Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

This is likely a JavaScript race condition created by autofill on the password field. Lots of websites have this now; some fucking framework or another doesn’t handle a paste/autofill on fields. Try adding a space after the password and then remove it again, see if it trips the validation checks

Yeah, I've got some logins you need to actually click into the field for the text to register (although that's my local utility so a bit more excusable).

This is my first comment here after a permaban. I would like my data deleted. Fuck spez.

Spoof your data, delete everything you can, and then post something against the rules until reddit ban you. Or try on another browser. Or, directly write a mail explaining you want to delete your account and related data.

How is being banned helpful in this case? Doesn't that just mean you can't post/comment?

[–] rayf 1 points 1 day ago

I don't really know, perhaps it's just a misconceptions from me that being permanently banned is similar as a deletion. But anyway, that's was more a joke because it's crazy to try to be banned just for this.

None of these tools work anymore, Reddit is blocking them. I ended up manually deleting all of my posts and comments. Even doing it manually Reddit would stop me from doing it after 100 delete, then I'd have to wait 24 hours and start over.

Fuck spez.

could be uBlock Origin blocking some elements.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Dont think so, Ive deleted accounts previously from same device with ublock origin installed..

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

uBlock origin is constantly getting updated tho, maybe a new update was more aggressive in blocking trackers and blocked the button from functioning.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

I remember for a while after I first got uBlock, Reddit wouldn't even work on desktop.

I was able to delete the account using Android reddit app. Fuck reddit

Let them delete it under the GDPR. That will mean they have to truely truely delete it. And they would have to prove that you are currently not residing in the EU. Maybe use a European VPN for the notification.

Have you tried putting anything into the "reason for leaving" field? I know it says optional, but maybe they fucked it up (on accident or on purpose) so it actually is required.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

Maybe it needs something in the reason field?
