I love the Fediverse and have been promoting Lemmy & our alternative music community on Mastodon for over a month now. It's getting pretty active and we are sharing all kinds of music from 80s college rock to today's indie every day.

But somehow it seems lemmy.ml hasn't heard yet! Nearly 1000 subscribers on lemmy.world, but like 17 from lemmy.ml? Oh fediverse, you minx you.

Well, time to change that! I'm spreading the good word for alternative music fans to join & share.

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: [email protected]

And some apps like Thunder still (for me at least) suffer from the Lemmy links. It prefers the rawdog link :0

awesome, yeah - love Indieheads on reddit, but wanted to broaden it to not just new stuff, dig into the archives to the freshest songs & albums. So much great music to share!
