Sync is soooo aesthetically pleasing. (I'm a sucker for full MaterialYou implementation) I'd love it if I could continue using it on Lemmy, and would happily pay a second time.

Imagine the smoothness of Sync for Reddit while surfing through the Fediverse.... Not my proudest bonner.
the backend for lemmy would have to get a lot more reliable, but i get you
In some ways Lemmy can be slow, but for me some actions have been a lot faster here than on Reddit.
Material design is one of the main things I think about when looking for an app
I'm stoked as hell, Sync was my reddit app of choice. I bought Pro, Dev, and Ultra throughout the years, just to support Lawrence.
Does Sync have a Lemmy presence? I can't check the subreddit since I don't have the reddit app. 😑
Check current update to the above post.
Great to see another app for this part of fediverse.
A humble request, great to see people willing to buy the app to support the developer. The request is to direct a similar support to the developers of lemmy. Every dollar counts.
No shade to anyone who can't donate, those who can please consider this request.
Yesssss let's make it happen! Pro version will be a day one purchase once it is available.
Jerboa is pretty dog crap, so having Sync or Apollo switch to supporting Lemmy, Tildes, Kbin, etc would be great.
Disagree, Jerboa is actually pretty damn good. Some QOL updates are needed sure, but over all it's good.

Man this truly made my day. Let's goooooo!
Sync was my weapon of choice for Reddit. I will be so happy if ljdawson develops it for Lemmy!
That is absolutely fantastic news!
Just in time for my morning nut
RIP my front page
The more the merrier, but I'll only use open source apps on my device.
And the author of Boost, my reddit app of choice, appears to be considering too :D
Sadly, rmayayo has said that he will not be working on a boost app for lemmy:
oh, rip :(
Oh man, if he makes boost for lemmy it will really complete the package for me.
I bought sync for reddit, best money I have ever spent.
I will also buy sync for lemmy
Sync is a great app and will be great for Lemmy.
Agreed, I used Sync for 10 years.
I haven't been to reddit since the strike, but just went to view this post: Looks like reddit is trying to suppress this announcement on mobile (of course) with a massive popup that won't let you view it You can get around it by viewing as desktop though.
Hope it can also support kbin.
I would expect it to go similar to how many mastodon-related projects have somewhat mastodon compatible APIs and some apps can handle basic functionality across several platforms. It's probably for the best to still make small modules for each one to handle differences but it seems very feasible. Or as others have suggested someone can make a library that implements both and provides a stable interface for app devs wanting to support both easily.
~~Fledgling community over at https://lemmy.ml/c/syncforlemmy too although it's not official.~~
Edit: [email protected] official one modded by ljdawsom himself.
I believe the "official" community is at https://lemmy.world/c/syncforlemmy
This the one issue I have with Lemmy, which one is the right one?
