Made a new community in Lemmy.world but can't find it from any other instance. (lemmy.world)

Hi, I'm on the world instance and created https://lemmy.world/c/lightsabers I've tried finding it using that link and the exclamation point link in other instances but have had no luck. My first and only other account was made on Lemmy.film but it doesn't matter whether or not I'm signed in to that account, on that instance, or another like Lemmy.ml but I can't seem to find it. The ONLY luck I had was when signed in to my film account on Jerboa, THEN it popped up when I simply searched "lightsaber" (no link), but no other way. Did I do something wrong in making it or something? I can't find anything else on it. Thanks in advance!

Search for [email protected] in the search bar of the other instance. That forces it to be indexed

Someone who is a member of another instance needs to search for the url of your specific community on their instance, then it'll pop up...

That's what I thought, but when searching for it from my Lemmy.film account I can't find it, using the url or the exclamation point.

Sometimes it takes a while. The search may say No results and only show the comm a bit later. There may also be a federation issue. But the process is correct.

Ok cool just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong, thanks so much! I made it last night and it seems like I can only now search "lightsabers" and it pops up when searching from the film instance, so that's progress! Guess it'll take a bit longer for the links to work in other instances too or something. Thanks again!
