She pointed to a threatening email she received last week with a subject line reading, "Fani Willis = Corrupt N*****." The body of the email said, "You are going to fail, you Jim Crow Democrat whore."

Willis said the message was "pretty typical" of what her office has been receiving and said she is aware of "equally ignorant voicemails" that have come into the county office and to her own office. She said she expects more over the next month. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution first reported Wills' warning to the county commissioners.

Wait... Jim Crow? How does that make sense...

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

Which is pretty on brand for ignorant racism if we're gonna be honest.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Maybe they see Jim crow as a step backwards from what was around not long before?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

They see their GEOTUS being held accountable for his crimes as a transgression against their race, and all the "wokeness" as just as much of a civil rights issue as when people were subjugated based on the color of their skin. Add in the fact that the Democrats were the racist party 100+ years ago, and you get the tortured logic that Democrats now are just as bad as they were then.

That confused me as well.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, this is why I don't like being civil with right wing individuals.

Exactly. Tolerance is a two way street. It is not a doormat to do whatever the fuck you want with my rights and I have to take it

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Jeez what a strong woman

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Log each one and track the addresses and charge them once this is all done

[–] [email protected] -3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Charge them with what? It’s not illegal to be an ignorant piece of shit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's illegal to be an ignorant piece of shit who makes threats.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I agree if there were threats made. The article doesn’t cite any such threat.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Why exactly do you think she wrote, "Please make decisions that keep your staff safe?"

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you need glasses or a lesson in context?

[–] [email protected] -4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Why are you being a cunt? Does the article list any threats or does it not? Can you read?

I’m not defending these assclowns. I don’t support racist idiots. I’m just pointing out that there aren’t any threats being made in the article, and the US has strong free speech laws - you’re allowed to call people racist names if you want to, it’s a protected right to do so. If any of these dumb fucks threatened the DA, then yes that is a punishable offense.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

She pointed to a threatening email she received last week with a subject line reading, "Fani Willis = Corrupt N*****."

Just because you didn't get to read it, doesn’t mean it wasn't threatening.

Yeah, I'm being a cunt (your words) because you seem to be seallioning.

These are credible and you just seem to want to downplay it.

So glasses or a lesson in context clues?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m not downplaying anything lmao. You’re reading so hard into my comments trying to find something that isn’t there.

I was questioning what people would be charged for, because the quotes in the article are not chargeable.

I’ll say it again because you clearly are having a tough time comprehending - if threats were made, those people should be charged with a crime.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So both. Got it.

They probably withheld the ACTUAL EVIDENCE because there probably is an ONGOING investigation.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Again, no evidence of any of that from the article. You keep injecting things without any evidence.

Carry on!

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you have a better source? Or are you just pissing around because people are taking these people's word on it? Because again you really haven't shown why they shouldn't be believed

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Who should be believed? What are you on about?

I’m not sure how to make this any more clear - the article does not provide anything about threats being made or an ongoing investigation.

So my original question was, based on the linked article, what would these dumb racist fucks be charged with?

Since you seem to admit the article does not provide evidence of threats of bodily injury or harm being made, and no ongoing investigation thereto, it seems only reasonable to conclude at this time based on the evidence in the article there is not a charge that can be made against these dumb pieces of shit.

That’s my only point. That’s it. Are we on the same page yet?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Pretty sure a DA can tell whether the contents of the email that we are not privy to qualify as harassment or threats. JFC what kind of stunned cunt are you?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

The internet never forgets. Neither does Ms Willis. Most of these trolls will FA and FO when they order takeout and discover the DoorDashers wearing a badge and an warrant

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Aren't there any laws in the US that threats against a government official are a crime or felony? Make the police earn their pay and send them after the culprits.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago (2 children)

As if the cops weren't either among these assholes or at least on their side.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Not that this would necessarily make a difference, but I would think threatening a public official would be an FBI matter.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

That is a problem that should not exist in the first place. But it's America, so one has to deal with it. Maybe it will be necessary to get the professionals in, especially if the crime can be assumed to be crossing state lines in a way.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yes. And it's likely that the police and/or FBI are investigating. But, this isn't a TV show. Investigations take time and there is no magic that let's the police discover the sender withinthe first 40 minutes to allow another 10 for an overly dramatic court room examination.

Real life is messy, and it's quite possible that there just isn't enough evidence to locate the sender. Let alone actually prosecute them. Most crimes in the US have really low closure rates. Honestly, I'd be surprised if they mange to locate the sender.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I'm well aware that they won't catch all, or anyone in the short time frame. But whoever they take off the road is an improvement for society. Even if it takes months.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Since a former president is involved seems like she should be deserving of federal protection.
