Wow, this is awe inspiring and quite welcome after such a long, hot dry summer.

Come with me if you want to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Terminator!

With the 40th Anniversary of The Terminator coming up in October, I will be hosting a special screening of it at the Idaho Film Society this weekend September 14th & 15th at 7pm! What makes this screening special? Well because this screening will be utilizing an HD scan of an original 35mm print of the film that contains the original theatrical mono audio, and a more authentic color grade. While not as crisp as a Blu-Ray, it is a more authentic and accurate way to experience this sci-fi classic! So come on down and experience The Terminator with us in a way you may have never seen it before! Tickets can be bought online or at the door for $8 ($6 for students and military).

WHAT: 40th Anniversary screening of The Terminator utilizing a 35mm film scan.

WHERE: Idaho Film Society (1212 W Bannock Street, Boise, Idaho).

WHEN: Saturday, September 14th & Sunday, September 15th @ 7:00pm.

HOW MUCH: $8 for tickets ($6 for students/military), and $2 for concession items.

Hey everybody!

I commute by bicycle quite often through the spring, summer, and fall. I have the privilege to be able to drive or get a ride when the weather is not so nice.

Lately, when biking through the northend especially, I've been seeing a trend of cars stopping and yielding to cyclists at stop signs. (That is, I or another cyclist will be stopped at a stop sign waiting to cross 15th, and cars travelling down 15th will stop and wait, even though they have right-of-way.)

DON'T DO THIS. Cyclists are not pedestrians - we are vehicles! There are a few slightly different traffic laws, but for the most part, you should treat a cyclist the same way you would treat another motorist. The only exceptions would be children riding on the sidewalk, or if a cyclist dismounts to use the crosswalk. Otherwise, as a cyclist, I don't want you to yield when you have right of way. And when driving, I treat cyclists as other vehicles. Obviously I am going to do my due diligence to avoid a collision (and I feel that motorists should have a higher burden of care, as cars are 2-ton death machines), but I'm also not going to slam on the brakes for cyclists stopped at stop signs.

I appreciate that you are keeping an eye out for us and that you are trying to be considerate. However, this is a hazard for multiple reasons. Don't be nice - be predictable. I don't know if traffic going the other way will stop or not. I don't know if the vehicle behind you will notice that you've stopped unpredictability and rear end you. But, since you are now waiting and holding up traffic, I feel like I need to cross as quickly as possible.

Seriously, I am content to wait on my bike at the stop sign until it is safe. Just like when I drive!

Boise PD sent out a notice to schools to be aware of the fact that a man was released after being arrested for violation of probation, despite having recent search histories of local schools and watching movies about mass shootings.

This notice was leaked to public. BPD says they have no lawful reason to take him into custody. Soooo we have to wait for him to actually shoot? I’m sure they’re within the law or whatever but just at what point do we take action? Or is probation enough? Seems like this guy is still trying to make plans even while on probation and he even broke the rules enough to get arrested. I’m just disheartened I think.

The #1 reason from the: “Vote No on Prop 1” folks is it’s “too complicated.”

What an interesting way to broadcast to others that you are too dumb to vote.

3rd graders fil in ordered bubbles on sheets you fools.

I'm being serious! Lol, please don't make fun. I'm estranged from my family. Honestly, I straight up don't have enough love and/or connections in my life right now. I essentially raised myself from late childhood on. I spent a great deal of my life caring for my siblings and my parents when they were in active addiction.

While I've had a rough and kind of random life, I've persevered through it. I put myself through college and I have a "normal", nice job. I'm very genuine and helpful, just a little eccentric (in a fun way, I'm told). I'm single and not looking for romantic love. I just want to make art and focus on expanding my circle these days.

I know this is kind of out there and I don't have any expectations whatsoever!! Just looking for some love and acceptance. I'd love to have people who we could check in with each other and talk about life stuff. I have good friends, but not having a family or chosen family is starting to get to me.

I'll probably regret posting this, but I figure it's worth a shot! Hope to hear from you guys.

The owner of the paddles up pokè chain in Boise, ID forces all employees to sign an NDA that his “lawyer” drummed up apparently. He does this so that he can threaten to sue you when you tell other people about how badly he treats his employees and creeps on young girls. A select group of young BSU students had creepy texts from him trying to hang out with them, he would feed them alcohol while they were on shift as well as outside of work. He also buys them gifts, grooming them and using that as leverage in the future. Or maybe he makes you sign an NDA so you don’t tell people how transphobic and homophobic he is, or how he has meltdowns in front of employees, screaming and crying and turning red, explaining that he needs therapy. He thinks having money is wealth, but buddy, you are nothing but wealthy when all the people around you, especially those you think you trust, all hate you. He can try and deny that he never told anyone that the young girl he “hung out” with sent him pictures of her boobs, or tried to kiss him in his truck but everyone knows. Deny, deny, deny when all else fails. It’s a shame that a married man with 3 kids in his mid 30s who still acts like a frat college boy will never know what love feels like. But he will have to stop trying to seek that out in those young girls. He scarred those poor girls, they are scared to work anywhere because of him. How do you live with yourself. Think twice before considering working here or letting your teenage kids work here.

I’m really impressed by the BSU Football radio coverage tonight. It’s been a few years since I listened to a BSU radio broadcast and I forgot they were playing tonight (thought it was earlier).

Kudos to the production team and talking heads. The balance of background sound, play caller and color commentary voices, level of commentary and discussion. I’m genuinely impressed.

I went for a drive and was scanning FM stations, and got hooked with 10 minutes left in the game.

For the record I grew up in a NFL city and have only ever lived in three other NFL cities. Well done team.

(Let’s avoid bashing KBOI)
