Looks like Knox council is thinking of pulling the plug on 3/4yo kinder and are looking to privatise all of the council run Kinders.

Running costs are too high even with the subsidy... (Apparently)

These things always end up costing money despite the projections, but where are the going to be held now and at what would appear to be a fairly late stage?

Not worth his salary but will continue to take it and most likely get a raise next year

Sad that this becoming more common in regional areas and along with less bulk billing making it harder for people to access early gp care.

It's just all over the place, every little thing has some logo plastered over it or, worse, commentators reading it out like it's content. They really need to restrict it or at least change it so only small businesses can advertise. I'd much rather see Burpengary Lawn Mowing or whatever than yet another megacorp ad

I used to be pretty happy with their online services but last year they failed to lodge my taxes even though I had them ready and paid months ahead of the due date. Very disappointing.

I'm currently unemployed and I can't do the taxes myself. Too hard to understand all the jargon and what goes where. I had a few short jobs here and there, supplemented with some freelance work, so I'm not the typical one-payslip-employee case.

Before HR Block I used to go to an accountant but I'm estimating today that's going to cost me around $400 the least. I'm living off savings until I find work so I'd rather avoid this.

So I'm reaching out to you, aussie lemmings, in case you have any good alternatives. Thanks

At least Guardian Australia is saying get lost to them. Now if only we could get them off youtube and all other internet content.

Any guides to federation with lemmy? I came across a few but they weren't very good.

Or is it just a @fosstodon thing that when I look up a group it never shows any messages, e.g. @australia

Three of the ten managers reported no loss of productivity despite a 20% reduction in hours – so effectively staff were about 20% more productive.

The other seven reported productivity being even higher than before.
