I just finished my 12th full game and I have to say my favorite boss is DEFINITELY inner genichiro. What’s your favorite boss?

This game is incredible. And I suck at it, trust me. I died 202 times to the final boss. Some of those were to--ugh--Genichiro. But I took breaks, gave myself little rewards for getting through the phases, and bam! I sat down tonight and beat it immediately. I'd like to thank the community for all the help and encouragement, and the dancing dragon mask for the clutch attack power increases right at the end. Not to give into the meme, but how do I play other games after this? Other combat will never live up to it, imo.

Even after the deathblow and pulling off his armor it took me every damn gourd and a resurrection to beat him. Mortal Draw did nothing….

So having beaten all previous fromsoft titles, I still had never touched Sekiro. At least, up until this year. I was bored and bored after plenty of playthroughs done for the other games that I chose to dive in to the game that is known as the hardest and most skill check worthy in the entire catalog. I was the guy for those who browse this subreddit constantly who posted the so called appreciation post for the DoH fight. In the post, I basically said how I felt he was a good fight and didn’t feel unfair. It garnered quite a lot of attention. Demon of Hatred took me two hours and 29 tries, I felt as if Isshin was going to take me even longer so, I took a break. But holy fuck, three hours later I had said you know what, let me play for an hour and just see how I do since I had work the next morning. Well, Genichiro and Isshin were put to rest that same night. Probably my most proud feat, I thought I wasn’t gonna have it in me. Especially, after the fatigue that the DoH put me through as well as how much I heard about Isshin before. I’m starting to yap a bit much here but I wanted to say that Isshin is my new favorite final boss in the entire franchise. He is the final mountain you must climb of what you learned throughout the entire game. Mikiri countering him and using the lightning reversal felt so damn good. Isshin also tells you to not hesitate which at first I realized was such a corny line but, he’s literally giving you the strat. Get on him, deflect, mikiri counter and keep on breaking that posture. Let up, and you will make the fight painfully longer on purpose which will result in you dying. It’ll be hard to top Isshin for me personally, I know i’m riding off the high of defeating him and the game but fuck. 10/10. Whoever just browses this sub and is wondering on whether or not to pick up the game, DO IT.

I'm playing the game with huge breaks of... life in between runs, started like 6 years ago and recently picked it up again and got to Demon of Hatred. As I generally tried to avoid spoilers I only heard rumours of this fearsome Mist Noble and how hard it is.When I got to fountainhead palace and saw the nobles I was like oh shit it's coming it's coming. Imagine my surprise when I finished fountainhead palace just to realize I beat mist noble in some fucking hut in the woods in 2019 or something. So now I'm in on the joke!

People always like to complain about this fight but I really don't get it. He isn't unfair, or even a dark souls boss in sekiro. He is a sekiro beast boss in sekiro. The way I see it, sekiro has three combat peaks.Isshin for weapon to weapon combatOwl Father for sneaky shinobi combatAnd DoH for beast combatDemon of Hatred is a great test of everything the game has taught you about fighting large enemies, namelyRun towards them 24/7Deflecting is KEY (still key in this fight)

Prior to this year, Sekiro and Bloodborne were the only Fromsoft games I had played. With Shadow of the Erdtree coming out this year, I finally decided I needed to play through the actual Souls games: Demon's Souls, Dark Souls Trilogy, and Elden Ring. After finishing everything, I was thinking, yeah, these games are all absolutely fantastic, but Sekiro is still king in my book. So I decided to fire it back up having not played it since launch just to see if my memory of the game holds up with all this new experience.I have got to say, it's even better than I remember. I just love every aspect of this game, and I can't wait to get to all the bosses again. The combat is just... so fun and precise and rewarding. The story, the art, the music, love it all. It also helps that I am way better at these types of games now, and I'm familiar with Sekiro, so I'm not getting my shit pushed in constantly.

Having come from Bloodborne and then Elden Ring, the bosses in this game are so well designed from a combat and strategy point of view. There is a really special blend of difficulty to the point of giving up before it clicks and then suddenly you know what to do. Once you know the strategy it becomes a case of trying to improve each time you attempt.Dying very rarely feels like it is the games fault, which cannot be said for ER (camera issues/overpowered AoE attacks etc.)A recent example: the first Corrupted Monk. Once you realise that you need to get the health bar down to about a 3rd before trying to attack poise it becomes a question of how quick can you implement this unique strategy.Overall probably the most satisfying combat I have experienced in a video game.

I've gone through and looked at numerous videos but can't seem to figure out which bead I'm missing. Could anyone give some insight on which ones are easily missed. I need a couple more upgrades for prosthetics and then upgraded prayer bead for Platinum. Thank you

He uses a Japanese technique called Tasuki-Gake to tie the sleeves of the Kimono with the strings that cross at his back. And his Kimono is opened at the front, which is also why i never realized this. Eventually he uses these strings to tie the Mortal Blade to his back instead of using the Sageo from the sword.

Now I just finished Ghost Of Tsushima and are looking for games like it. My friend suggested Sekiro and I heard him laugh a little. Probably because he knows how hard it is. I know that it's hard but how hard is it for a souls game? Is it stupid to play it as my first souls game? It's been on my steam Wishlist for a little while now but I'm scared to actually buy it because of how difficult people say it is. Please help me out here. Cheers.

100% Sekiro is something different from other games because it’s not like the other games. It’s a very complicated hard game and it changes you after every play through to get every different ending. It gets easier for you as not the game gets easier but you as a player get better and it changes the way you see and play, 100% worth it it feels amazing

Just want to say how much I absolutely loved this game. Every boss, every moment of it was a blast. Not once did I ever feel frustrated with dying, instead I looked forward to getting back in there and learning and getting better. Ishiin Sword Saint was easily the toughest, but I found him to be very fair and had alot of fun learning his different phases and getting better at each one until finally beating him (no cheese, all agression). This was my second fromsoft game after finishing elden ring (and the dlc). Ive picked up and tried playing pretty much every dark souls game and demons souls over the years but always psyched myself out and quit before giving myself a chance thinking it would be too hard. Now, where's that bloodborne remaster at!?
