You can't use iCloud mail as Apple ID [update] You can't setup an iCloud mail when you submit, after three months it is possible to change.
I think that’s only true if you are creating a new iCloud email address, I helped someone at work who was using their work email as their Apple ID and I believe there was a 90 day waiting period before their Apple ID could be set to that iCloud email address.
That's correct, after three months you can setup your iCloud mail as Apple ID
This isn’t true. My Apple ID is iCloud, switched it from Gmail a few years ago, same account.
