Nah. Still just vote for whatever party can put forth a plan that will HELP CANADIANS. The conservatives have never fielded a plan like that, so it'll feel the same but for a better reason -- and it allows for a case where the oranges or greens can actually get the vote and execute on a plan.

(and, may I say, the 1995-era Green plan of managed resource harvesting was an especially excellent pro-fishing, pro-forestry, pro-mining, pro-sawmill, pro-paper-mill, and pro-hydro plan that was ruined only by THEIR fringe members being on TV so much. Had they a hope of pulling it off, industry out here could have been different than the one we got from pro-ceo bc-reds or pro-rich-bitches blues)

I do both :) It's also good to see the bc reds have finally renamed themselves.

What's so great about fishing?? Surely we should be trying to do less.

Good resource management means long-term protection and stability, often at the expense of short-term profits. Boom-bust "jobs" vs stable careers and trades you can pass on to the next generation.

A lot of fishing conservation programs are not just about making fishing accessible for Canadians, its also about keeping fish population/levels healthy by monitoring water conditions, kick starting remedial work, and raising and stocking fish for natural populations.
