For stuff that's 'new to me' I've had a few that I rated 5 stars on first listen: Bill Evans Trio - Sunday at the Village Vanguard, Willie Colón & Rubén Blades - Siembra, Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime, and Miles Davis - Birth of the Cool.
Other than that, there have been quite a few albums that I already loved that I've rated 5 stars, and this was a nice reason to revisit all of those.
I host a Bring Your Own Vinyl night at bar near my house and Siembra was a huge hit the night somebody brought it in.
Also doing it (just rated my 850th record). When I saw the cover I was really not anticipating this record. On top of that, I am really picky when it comes to latin music.
I started the album and I had so much fun listening to it. I can't understand how I never heard a single song before, the songs are so catchy and full of energy.
