Hello lovely Aussies! I am visiting your beautiful land for a month this summer. I apologize and please delete if this post is against the rules, but maybe you can point me in the right direction. I will be staying with family who have been there since last summer, but I'd love to hear tips about how best to enjoy your city and it's surroundings while I'm there!

Going to be the middle of Winter.

Check the sidebar for general WA websites that can be searched.

Also, what are you into? Clubs, pubs, parks, nerd shit, animal parks, beaches, libraries, history, food gourmand trails?

One recommendation is the trains and electric tram in Whiteman Park. Went there last week and it was a fun family day out. Caversham Wildlife park is next door, Transport Museum and Car Museum closeby too.

Boola Bardip is the WA Museum and gives a good overview of the area and history.

This is great info, thank you very much for your comment. I am visiting family that's been there since last July, but I want to go with lots of ideas about what to do when we are sick of just staring at each other.

As far as what I'm into: hit me with that nerd shit, libraries, history, and gourmand trails! I can guess what the last one is and it sounds amazing, but I've never heard the term.

It's reaching 100f where I live right now, so I'm struggling to remember it will be winter. Going to be weird packing, but I learned this lesson on a prior trip. Just have to remember the shivering I did then.

Again, thanks so much for your insights!

This is exactly why I posted my first post ever about this, in this sub. I usually know people who are passionate about the place they live when I travel somewhere to show me the cool shit. My sister loves it there, but she's only been there for a a bit and had a baby in that time. It's lovely to hear from you, thanks so much!
