Hello, new instance! I am Fern (she/her) and I was recently diagnosed as autistic after suffering from a ~4 year burnout (and lots of 1-6 month burnouts before that ๐ฎโ๐จ) and a bipolar misdiagnosis. Found a good therapist and am getting professional help finally!

Community Plug
I often have a topic I want to go off on, usually a special interest, but I have no one to talk to about it, so they stay as typed up notes until I could find a place. I also love learning about new topics from passionate individuals, so I decided to start a community for that! I'm the (currently sole) moderator for [email protected], which I created as a space to allow for autistic people to make posts about their special interests in a respectful and safe space, at least while Lemmy is small and niche communities are too sparse to really have any engagement.
Hi Fern! Did you know that comic sans has purpose? I learned that it's good for dyslexia. I don't have a source, but I thought that was interesting.
Just a side question, are you the fern I know from elsewhere online? If so "Hello again!", if not "Hello for the first time."
