I don't know the number, but you can definitely brush too much. My sister in law was obsessive about brushing her teeth so much that the dentist advised her to lay off as she was damaging her teeth enamel.

Brush less hard, buy brushes with softer bristles.

That's exactly what I did. Switched to twice a day, slightly less time during each and instead flossing and using non-alcoholic mouthwash.

With great results!

I do not whiten my teeth. I do drink tea.
