Let's not forget Trudeau only stepped in when there was no end in sight in Ottawa and there was threats of escalation to FLQ levels. Doug was busy at a ski Lodge baking deserts when he should have been at Ottawa. It's why he refused to testify, using the courts to do so in the inquiry that followed.
