Haven't been on Lemmy in a week. Come back, and the top thread on All is about Musk. I'll never understand the obsession with this cat. His haters appear far more obsessed with him then those who worship him.
I don't know, maybe there's a reason to pay attention to an overt racist who is one of the richest people in the world with his own massive social media platform who uses it to influence politics across the globe?
Maybe it's just me, but that sounds like it's sort of an important thing to pay attention to?

But go ahead and explain to me how Jews aren't white.
Jews can be white. Being jewish is a religion. His comment (or the one he supported) is targeted at that religious group. No statement of hatred towards a skin color, specifically. This is potentially antisemitic, perhaps bigotry, but not racist.
Any other examples? Elon is a douche, but not every douche is a racist.

There are plenty of reasons to shit on your mortal enemy, Elon Musk, but you do not need to make up stuff against him. Call a spade a spade.
It's not our religion. We're atheists. We have no religion. So if it isn't our ethnicity, what is it?

You have to love someone who would likely never dare tell a trans person their gender is wrong, but has no problem telling a Jew what their religion and ethnicity are as if they get to define it.
