I'm so confused. Democrats aren't trying to "make America great again" because many of them agree with you that we haven't finished making America better to start with.

"Build back better" implies that there is a good foundation. Amerikkka is a slave empire, built on blood and oppression. The Dems are materially not working to make anything better.

Is this some form of enlightened centrist, both sides same bullshit? Or is there more to this?

This is communist critique of Democrats. They are right-wing, along with the republicans. Just a slightly different flavor.
