Someone recently recommended Amigara Fault to me, and I really enjoyed that.

After that I read the Shiver compilation as I had seen part of the one with the balloons and wanted to finish that up. I also loved the parts with the fashion model and especially the long dreams.

I learned there will be an anime made for Uzamaki, so I read that, but even though I had seen nothing but good reviews on it, it fell flat for me. The weird stuff like the snails I did not see coming, but the plot overall felt very predictable to me, and felt the weakest of the 3 to me.

Can anyone suggest what to check out next based on these? Thanks!

Remina is probably my favorite junji ito book.

Gyo is also pretty darn good.

Other than that, any of the huge omnibus collections always have at least a handful of stories that are really good.

I generally find anthologies enjoyable, as you get little tastes of thoughts from a creator you like, but it feels like their more eclectic thoughts. They're stories that they can't get out of their heads so they have to write them down, but they're not enough of an idea to make a whole long story out of. That means there's typically an open ending or plot points left unexplained or parts of the story universe underexplained, and then you can work on in your own head after finishing the stories.

I'll get those 2 on my reading list, thanks!
