The real question is was she lying in 2022 or she only realized it now?
Both should disqualify her.
It's almost as if the economic "science" for the justification of neoliberalism is ad-hoc.
Of course she was lying. All they are capable of doing is lying. lol. The only way it wouldn't be lying is if they actually admitted that the collapse of the US is due to the unfathomable greed of the oligarchy.

If she did know sanctions would backfire, would anyone in the state department have done differently? Russian sanctions make peepee go big.
I suspect the Biden administration installed a dim bulb who reliably does what she’s told, though I don’t know who might be doing the telling. Otherwise she’s much smarter than she seems and a better actor.
