That's like saying there's no point in having sex with other people because you know how best to touch yourself.

You are totally on point, to answer op and staying in topic, that's like the difference between wanking and being wanked, both will get you there but being passive and enjoying new things is always nice. It's not because you can visualize it that you can think of it. Moreover I have great spatial and detailed mind visualization but I have trouble with faces. As an example I can visualize myself navigating in streets and places, I can rotate objects in my mind and other stuff, but faces are hard for me, like reading in a dream . In real life too I have a bad faces recognition/memory.

I agree with the last statement at about a 70% level. The last 30% missing is - like you can't tickle yourself, there's some sensations that are different just because another person does them to you.

I'm not anti relationship, it's just when viewing sex alone a lot of the things I experienced with someone else are just overrated. With very very few exceptions when I met humans with extremely high emotional intelligence.

But maybe in the end that's all a discussion, that we all are generally bad in knowing and communicating what feels good for each other.
