They didn't ask because genocide is a US government thing, not a president thing. Good luck being against the industrial military complex AND becoming president of the US.
You could also claim that serving the rich is a US government thing and not a president thing. Does that mean our votes mean nothing if the president is filtered through a system that only selects for a particular set of policies?
There are some common policies they have to play ball with, and commonly shared interest like Israel. You just hear about them less.
Im not saying it shouldn't be questioned, it's just not a great top 5 you want to send to your boss because both candidates will avoid the question/lie
