Sickie = chucked. Not going into an office with a now properly sore throat, and I decided I won't even wfh today as I could do with resting up/catching up on things I couldn't do on the weekend, rather than pushing myself.

Is it still "chucking" a sickie if you're genuinely sick? I'd just call it being responsible and looking after yourself and your colleagues.

Yeah, it isn't really chucked tbh. This is a legit one! I would've had to go interact with the public for work today as well and no way I was doing that while sick. I probably could wfh if I pushed myself but... it's only Tuesday.

I think this job requires me to get a !@#$ing med cert to take sick leave though so I think I have to go and sort that out... I'll have to go and check if a stat dec can be used instead.

At worst use instant scripts for 1 day if you really need medical cert. it costs 19 dollars to get one but that's a so much cheaper than going to a doctor with no bulk billing if you only need it for one day.
