Your mileage may vary but check this out. You can try to use your phone camera to look for these, or scan WiFi as mentioned.
Certainly not foolproof, but may give you piece of mind if you enjoy AirBnBs.
I would hope high rated places wouldn't risk this or that AirBnB would punish them greatly if discovered, but who am I kidding?!?
Good advice especially for infrared cameras. The main issue with scanning the network, through, is most airbnbs I’ve stayed in have a separate guest network. Those hidden cameras wouldn’t be on it
