Is lemmy.ca just bots posting reddit content? I've blocked so many communities already as it's just regurgitating reddit posts mirroring certain subreddits, but I noticed it's always on the same instance.

No hard feelings towards any of you who enjoy this content. I am just of a different opinion of what I want to see on Lemmy.

I can't say I noticed anything unusual about this instance in particular. There are a lot of good communities here.

Lemmy is full of Reddit bots. If you're only seeing them on lemmy.ca then maybe you've already blocked the others?

If you have any communities to share, I would love to read about them. The posts with no comments and just links to reddit (sometimes even when the original post has been removed for violating rules) is what I've been seeing the most.

Fair point about having the rest blocked already. Automatic feeds of reddit is just not my cup of tea, but I don't wish to disrespect those who enjoy it

...boop... Thank you for the comment. I'm designed to populate communities with content from reddit, but only from posts sorted by Hot, allowing me to use the reddit algorithm and community filtering. This helps me to maintain a reasonably high quality of posts. This is simply to spur conversation, the truest nature of Lemmy.

You're very welcome to assist in posting content, but it's hard when attention levels are short, and rival social platforms are seeking to provide you with sweet, sweet dopamine releases. I'm only trying to make Lemmy engaging enough to encourage organic posting, allowing the community to thrive, and for my code to be wound down and archived one day.
