These acquisitions have resulted in rate increases ranging from 44.9% to 116.6%<

Yeah, first-hand experience that this blows. Our water facilities were purchased by Pennsylvania American Water late last year, and our bill nearly doubled from a flat $80/mo to a minimum of $120, and fluctuates with usage. Nextdoor was flooded with angry residents. "Something something shareholders need to make back the millions we spent improving ur wooder supply".
