Instead of making them impractically large why don't you work on making them robust enough that they don't fail every 8 weeks instead. It's like they just sweep up the crap nand die off the bathroom floor that were trekked in by the guy who's supposed to be in the clean room but is really a chain smoker and keeps sneaking into the stalls for a heater.

Exactly. What is that large in storage size that doesn't have correspondingly required importance to need durability of the storage product? Who the hell is the market for this? People who don't know they're janky?

It's 4K video producers. And 8K

8K video takes up about 1TB per hour.

Also keep in mind that 8K may not be the final resolution for the edited final video. Many will film in 8K so they can handle some cropping, zooming, and stabilization digitally for a final 4K video without losing quality.
