I'm a AAA gamedev and I always put placeholder sfx when i dont have them. Either owen wilson wow or Wilhelm scream.

One day we are shipping a prototype for editorial, and we notice i left them in. No big deal, push a change "update SFX". But then in my change version there's this other problem, and they see that there are no real major fixes. "Just some sfx". Its was a game with bees, and the swarm was going "wow, wow, wow" instead of buzzing.

The entire editorial knew my name that day, they thought it was funny, but they don't appreciate us putting sounds that don't come from the approved DB..
