I mean, this isn't my first rodeo. I actually tried with those first. All the way back in 2016, actually. It doesn't work. They just pretend there's nothing wrong with them, and that they're "modeling photos".
Was Lemmy even around in 2016? You are talking about completely different communities of people with very different dynamics. It's also true that not nearly as much was publicly known and acknowledged about Trump back in 2016. You're drawing comparisons between situations that while superficially similar are actually quite different.
Yes, the world existed before Lemmy was a thing, and I, being a part of that world, also have experiences I can draw from the before-times.
From a time before time, the long-long-ago.
Sit down, young one, let me spin a tale of fire and water for you. Bask in the wisdom of the ancient ones. We have much to share.
I was also around back in 2016. Lemmy is a niche community. I doubt whatever community you were posting that stuff in was all that similar to this one. As this community is full of anarchists, communists, and social outcasts and radicals of various types. Somewhere mainstream like Reddit is very different, and I say this as someone who has spent significant time in both.
Yes, and I really don't care what you think, bud. People are allowed to enjoy things in different ways.
I post memes for engagement, and specifically to catch the errant cultist that pops up here and there. I live in Texas where they're pretty big on voter suppression. It takes me between 2~4 hours to vote usually, and I know it doesn't matter for statewide elections. I still vote, but honestly it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things here. So I figure I'll do my part donating and trying to convert a cultist from voting somewhere else (where it'll matter a bit more) when I feel up to it.
Your opinion pretty much matters zilch to me. I stopped caring about Fartbox the moment I found out he wasn't a cultist. I don't really care about you either.
And that's okay. You are a cutie pie though. You probably shouldn't give me so much to work with if you don't want to give yourself an aneurism. I'm not even being that mean about it. Just... stay away from the IRL comments. You're immediately outing yourself as an unserious person when you go there.
I mean it was very obvious that SatansMagotyCumFart was not a trump follower if you paid any attention to them in the past. You also kept pestering them long after it was obvious they weren't.
I don't live in the USA. I don't want trump to win, but ultimately it's not my decision or my problem if he does or not. If you are trying to weasel out trump followers this isn't really the site to do it as I doubt we have even one in this comment section.
Arguing on the Internet with people from your own side is not how you enact polticial change. Actually talking to people in real life and going on protests will get you a lot further, or even just arguing with the right people.
It's also funny you talk about me giving you material to work with, given everything you have posted here. I am not one for filters, but damn you need to learn to think before you type.
