I, personally don't trust ChatGPT. So whenever I use it I always look at code it generated until I understand what it does. And the truth is that it takes me more time to understand it than if I would've wrote code myself.
It does wonders for repetitive tasks or data generation, though.
I believe in any place where security is critical, developers should not use AI-generated code irresponsibly.
