Because once one is ahead, one doesn't do a rematch with a loser.

That's like saying "I already won once gambling, why wouldn't I do it again". Stupid.
If winning a debate is a gamble, maybe your position isn't strong enough. If he's confident about having won this last debate he shouldn't be afraid of doing it again
