I tried to find a video of this on youtube, which I could not. I did however find a video of him making the same mistake 3 weeks ago in Pennsylvania, this time confusing it with North Carolina ๐

Not sure really if its a gaffe or he just thinks he's talking to a national audience at these, either way what he says is stupid
It sounds like in this case hes not mistaking, just talking about an unrelated town in a different state as a talking point to bring up immigration?
Yeah, and he's bringing up situations in different parts of the country as well, all to make whatever his point is (I guess immigration bad?).
2000% increase? DAYUMN. If that were true, which of course it isn't, that would be wild
In the speech, he said it was a 2000% increase in immigration in a small town. So if that town has something like 2 immigrants in a decade (probably a pretty realistic number), then that means there were probably a handful of immigrants in that year (2000% of 0.2 is 4).
So if it's true, it's likely wildly misleading.
I kinda wish it were true because imagine all of the amazing restaurants that would be popping up across the country with so many immigrants!
