This is basically the anime adaptation of Ruby Ridge
Isn't that the anime from CockBite?
I guess I should say "wasn't that," and "from former production company, CockBite"
Ruby Ridge was a real life event where the ATF set up and pretextually attacked a family in Idaho
Nah I know; I was just referencing RWBY, from RoosterTeeth (which was chosen as the name because they couldn't call it CockBite)

It would be easy to miss. They were a big part of my life for several years, but the world is large.
btw, here is a link to season 1 on yt with no tracker, if you're interested, or for anyone else who may be. The first couple seasons are really good, if you can deal with a little bit of finding the groove. Unfortunately, the creator passed away in a freak surgical accident; many fans feel the quality of the show dropped at that point, obviously, but it ran for several more seasons.
If you're into weapons that were inspired by Final Fantasy 7 and Steel, and human-animal homunculusses, you'll be ok.
