A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

It's been 30 years and I still can't get over the fact that the French word for "potatoes" is "ground apples." Have The French never had an apple? (midwest.social)

Yeah, numbers in French are really weird.

Look, I'm not criticizing French, or the French. It was just one of those things that struck me when I was learning it, and it pops up at odd times.
