Wagenknecht is a pretty seasoned politician, so I don't expect this will be a fad. It's also a unique moment in history. German centre is collapsing, people are mad because the standard of living is unravelling, and it's becoming clear that the US is not an ally. All these factors combined are creating a huge opportunity for the socialist left.

Given how new the party is, that's really impressive, they might even climb to 15% or so by March. Would be great if they displaced CDU.
