Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

This has 14 upvotes. So clearly OTHER people get it......I don't get it. Do the arms positions have something to do with it? Is it the fact that they're cacti? Why is it titled bacon?
Look. It's Thursday. My brain is still fried from Tuesday. I feel like someone is going to say something super obvious, and I'll feel stupid.
I'm with you. My only theory is that saguaros usually have their arms up, and so he's being a contrarian by putting them down? All I got lol idk.
That’s what I think it is too. I think the issue is that I didn’t find it funny so I keep making it over trying to find the hidden joke.
bacön
No worries, it's been a rough week.
Bacon is the title of the daily comic strip this panel comes from. The joke is that the cactus on the left has its "arms" (branches?) point up, as most cacti do, and is looking at the cactus on the right with its arms down, and that cactus on the right is explaining that, as a cactus, it doesn't really have any other way to show how it feels.
I don't think you're missing anything, it's not super-duper funny -- just a little silly 😊 .
