It crashes when opened. Deleted the App Store version, reinstalled- same thing. Tried the test version, same thing.

It’s completely broken now.

Yep, same for me. It’s only on All that the issue is with. I made a post linking a screenshot of the particular post that was causing my crash each time.

It was the post at the bottom of my screenshot by the poster Woland that was crashing the app for me.

I can’t reproduce, what feed sort options do you have? I’d like to try to find this problematic posf

I have my All feed just sorted to post “Hot” and no other filters or anything.

Even though I blocked the user Woland, whose post was the one that always froze the app, I have subsequently had the app freeze and crash again, so I don’t really think it’s related to a specific post.

My last crash was just a few minutes ago but this coincided with lemmy.world down time, so it’s maybe just that crashing that’s bringing down the app.

Lemmy.world has been up and down all day today so maybe it’s that instead?

Maybe worth checking the other users as to which fediverse they’re on when theirs crashes as they can check the server status in settings?

Thanks, looks like [email protected] has the offending post. Gonna take a look and see if we can improve the error handling. Also an interesting thought, i didn’t think about lemmy.world going down could be the cause.

No problem mate. Hopefully what I gave you points you in the right direction to resolve the issue. Good luck.

Ugh can't even replicate it now. Maybe it was an issue with lemmy.world status. If that's the case then yea we are not handling something well to just tell the user it's down. Or maybe the post got removed, I'm not sure.
