Summary

Anti-abortion groups, bolstered by Donald Trump’s return and a GOP-led Congress, are pursuing aggressive federal policies under the banner “Make America Pro-Life Again.”

Key proposals include banning abortion pills, outlawing telehealth abortions, and enforcing the Comstock Act, a 19th-century law targeting abortion-related materials.

Advocates also aim to cut federal funding for reproductive health services, redefine fetal personhood, and reverse FDA approval of mifepristone.

While abortion rights saw significant voter support in several states, activists view the 2024 election as a mandate to advance anti-abortion legislation nationwide.

The Comstock Act.

Jesus Christ.

That made it illegal to send any materials about contraception or contraceptives themselves through the mail as well.

The also adopted the famous "I know it when I see it" judgment on obscenity, meaning all sorts of mailed educational material, very basic sex education sometimes, was intercepted and destroyed because it was deemed to be obscene.

And a renewed Comstock Act wouldn't just apply to the mail.

It's what the Americans voted for. I have full sympathy for anyone who voted against Trump but the rest can go fuck themselves.

Congrats America!

In less than 4 years you're going to start looking at Iran as a desiderable place to move to.
