I started listening to fill the magnus archives shaped hole in my heart while I wait for some friends to catch up, but so far each episode has been banger after banger.

Started this one, like some of the ideas (The Saint Electric and the Grinding Lord being so weird and awful in spite of being the "good" civilized gods is cool) but the audio was so quiet it was hard to hear during commutes or on earbuds during dishes/mowing.

Yeah for real, the way the good gods are introduced as "civilized alternatives" and then are revealed to still be so awful. The slag king sticks out and so do the stewards (the train ppl) particularly. I'm sympathetic to your audio issues I have the same issue with this and the magnus archives on most platforms, but the (proprietary disgost ) podcast app I use now, pocket casts, has this lil voice boost feature that makes them a bit more listenable.

The grinding lord is so strange I wasn't really paying attention to the state of the radio guy until now and he's really going through it
