PSA: There is a chrome and firefox extension called "Reddit Block" that can redirect Reddit to any site of your choosing... including the homepage of your favorite instance! (kbin.social)

I mention the extension in particular because it is easy to set up use for those of us who don't want to dig through browser settings to set up a redirect rule

Someone should make an extension that automatically redirect you too cached copy of Reddit in the wayback machine. That way, you still not visiting Reddit, while still getting a useful result when you click a Reddit link from Google search.
