I've noticed in a lot of Reddit threads the outright hostility towards Nintendo games and Nintendo fans in general gaming subreddits.

I really hope this isn't the case here.

This is completely wrong.

You think allowing users to express their opinions is wrong contrary to gathering people of one opinion only?

I don't think there is a further point to be made in here.

They probably saw one post that wasn't fawning praise for Nintendo and it broke them.
