Well driving is a trickier one, especially here in the states. Loss of driving privileges means a loss of independence and the ability to do basically anything. Sure there's help of various kinds but it's expensive and not availible to everyone who needs it. I agree that elderly people need intense scrutiny when it comes to driving but it's not so clear cut

This is just another reason we need to get rid of our dependency on cars, not a reason to keep letting people with the reflexes of molasses drive 2 tons of steel.
