Maybe instead of letting the summary auto-pull the advertising copy from the site, you could either blank out that field, or add your own comments, ones that might elicit a reaction from the reader - "hey, what do you think of Rowing Blazers new line", "I really like the look of this item, do you see anything you like", etc. Because when you just drop a link with a bunch of advertising copy and no comments - well, yes, that's exactly the kind of thing that spammers do.

I'm not going to write a custom summary for a community with two active users for every article I post during a work day. If people here had any thoughts on anything so far, you'd see them commenting on things without being told to comment on things. And I don't think it would be better to just leave the summary blank, not sure who that would help.

Spammers don't usually bother with the fediverse, and definitely not on communities this small. Nobody else thought this was spam. You're just some paranoid weirdo. If you don't like reading the summaries brands write about their lookbooks, you don't have to. If you don't like seeing people post lookbooks at all, you might want to crawl back into the hole you came out of, because fashion clearly isn't something you're ready to participate in.
