Looks like the refs are going to be very persnickety this year. I didn't see any personal fouls when offsetting ones were called.
I wonder if Kelce would've swung the game, Vegas thought he was worth an entire point. It was as close as it could be points wise, and Kelce is probably the best catcher on the team, especially with the rubber band hands the chiefs had.
Unless of course you’re the chiefs left tackle, then obviously anything goes
Yeah, it took a while before the first flag was even thrown. I'm not trying to think of what ifs...
Yeah the drops are what ruined it for KC. Obviously the pick 6, then the one that would have gotten them field goal range, and I think there were a couple that cost them first downs late in the fourth as well. All those passes ranged from catchable to perfect, can't imagine the frustration as QB.
This. If Toney catches even one of his multiple stupid drops, I think the outcome is reversed.
The game was close enough one of either Chris Jones or Kelce probably would’ve swung it. The defense still did good against what’s supposed to be a good offense but there were a few runs that gashed right up the middle for a big chunk of yards and Jones probably would’ve helped there.
The sheer arrogance of KC to go for it on 4th and 25 shows they expected a pass interference call from their striped friends. The fact that they didn’t get the game handed to them was a shock for them and me. Also, Mahomes is an average QB without a great team around him and refs carrying him on a throne.
You know this is a crazy take, right? Mahomes won MVP last year with essentially the same quality of offense. Of course they'd struggle a bit with his #1 playmaker on offense sidelined.
This is a "regress all Mahomes TDs to the mean" level hater comment. What's more likely, Mahomes is average at best and has been propped up by playmakers on offense (including last year without Tyreek), or Mahomes is great and has seriously subpar talent to work with on offense?
Hang on, is this Kadarius Toney making this post? Shit, now it makes sense.
Get off Lemmy, Patrick, and go learn how to lead a receiver and not cry like Lebron on the sidelines. Maybe also don’t scramble left, throw it back across the field, and then roll your eyes when the play fails and you don’t get a flag in your favor.
This is a garbage take, and I'm now 100% certain you're just trolling.
No, no, he has a point. It's Patrick's fault Toney couldn't catch Covid 19 at an anti-vax convention the way he was playing last night. 🙄
Not trolling. Most starting nfl qbs are capable of greatness with the right team around them. Look at Russel Wilson as an example. MVP seasons on a great team, utter garbage on a bad one. It will happen to Mahomes at some point, and when it does I want you to think of me.
Yes, players regress as they get older. Sometimes it's gradual and sometimes it's a cliff. There's tons of examples of elite players who wake up one day and just don't have it anymore. So yeah, Mahomes will one day become average, and then subpar, and then no longer able to compete at an NFL level. But right now he's arguably the best quarterback of this generation.
Yes it was Mahomes who dropped all those catchable passes including the one that was taken the other way. Clown.
