It's in the shower with the exhaust on. I'm giving it 3 hours. Stay tuned.
The cling film bit works on ovens too. Only thing I would say is that if the enamel of the stove is cracked or chipped, then ammonia will make a bad situation worse.
My stove top is glass with the enamel coated metal (that's what I think they are) drip trays. That kitchen would have reeked of ammonia. Very powerful shit.
Have to say with 1.4m views that's a lot of clean stove tops out there.
Am I unusual by cleaning it every night?
hrmm..
I think a lot of us secretly regret not cleaning it every night :(
No need to show off now Nath. Hahaha.
I'm not going to pretend I cleaned out the whole kitchen every night in my bachelor days. But early in our relationship when divvying out basic chores I agreed the kitchen would be clean every morning.
No. Wipe down after each use is basic imo. From a bacteria-eria-logical standpoint. Maybe a chemical clean once a week.
I've only ever used ammonia for smelly drains but I'm willing to give it a go.
It'll work. The combo of paper towel and cling film is really really effective.
