General information: https://www.austintexas.gov/department/311

Personally have used it to report nonfunctioning lights, broken crosswalk signals, garbage dumped on public/private property, broken fountains, public bathroom issues. Most issues resolved within 1 week.

Don’t use this while driving, please. Take mental note then report. This is for NON-EMERGENT issues only. Call 911 if situation needs immediate attention.

I use the iOS app and agree it’s not the most intuitive app to use. I used to create requests under other and 311 would manually redirect it to the appropriate department.

After awhile though, I can find the appropriate category to use.

What I don’t like is that often tickets are just closed and nothing is done. This is often the case for issues created for the code department. PARD and AE from my experience are decent.

The ticket is often closed when it is moved to another system. The operator doesn't always put the transfer details in. I'm not saying some don't get ignored because they are, but they do an ok job following up.
