I rarely find an anime where I'm like "gotta read the manga" but this could be one of them for sure. I will probably check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

Yup, ended up reading the manga halfway into the season. It's great. If I had to critique something, it'd be how fast the mysterious island premise is dropped in favor of more generic battle shonen antics, but as far as battle shonen go, it's hell of a solid one.
