War of the Roses

  • Prep: Hot Shower - Preshave
  • Brush: Semogue 610
  • Razor: EldormR Industries MM24
  • Blade: GEM - PTFE (7)
  • Lather: Martin De Candre - Rose Soap
  • Post Shave: Catie's Bubbles - Ocean Grove Splash
  • Post Shave: Zingari Man - AS Balm Unscented

I recently mailed out a couple of smooshes of this soap to LG participants and decided to reacquaint myself with it this morning. Rose is not my go-to scent by any stretch of the imagination but for some reason, I really enjoy the scent of this soap. It's not a cloying scent and it doesn't have a sweetness that swings the scent toward grandma's favorite perfume (not to be confused with the scent of Grandma's pocketbook that Tabac is reminiscent of). Adding the rose-iness of Ocean Grove on top just adds to the goodness of soap's scent. Performance-wise, this soap totally works for me. If I had to endure a 'punishment' similar to what u/EldrormR is going through by only using an MDC brain bowl, I have no doubt I could 'suffer' through it.

On to a long ass day of meetings. Have a great day all!
