One gallon = 4.55 litres, if you were wondering whether your bladder might be able to hold it.

Looks like your book is in freedom units rather than gold old chap units.
1 Imperial gallon = 4546.092 Milliliter
1 US gallon = 3785.4118 Milliliter
You'd probably be on your way to water intoxication
But the average adult bladder can hold 14 ounces. So in liters that's about enough, right?
