This is kinda like the NFL hits videos to me. Seems disingenuous to promote gambling during the commercial break, then demonize the players for it.
But I'm apparently getting old and think gambling doesn't need to be/should be pushed.
If the gambling could affect their play, then punish them.
Otherwise, who cares?
I mean in a perfect world, sure. But add in any reality and of course they're going to bet on games they're a part of. It almost destroyed baseball (black socks), and severely hurt the reputation of baseball (Astros) and basketball (refs). I don't follow any of those sports really, but those are off the top of my head.
