Summary: VAR in football has failed - it robs goals of joy, replaces ref errors with new errors, fuels endless tedious debate, piles pressure on officials and gives unrealistic expectation of perfection. Scrap it and take a step back - imperfect human decisions are part of the game.

True. I remember how well perceived it was during the world cup. 30s decisions and pretty much all correct.
